Honda

Honda, also known as Honda Motor Company, is a Japan-based manufacturer of various automobiles, motorcycles, and aircraft. It was incorporated in 1948 and initially began manufacturing auxiliary engines for bicycles. The company was founded in Minato, an area in Tokyo, Japan. Honda has grown into an international company with additional locations in the United States, Brazil, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, China, and Thailand.

Honda's legal classification is kabushiki gaisha, a type of Japanese joint-stock company. The company is listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange under the stock symbol 7267 and HMC, respectively.

Honda has facilities and offices across the world where various products are developed and manufactured.

Honda develops and manufactures various types of vehicles and parts for vehicles, including automobiles, motorcycles, boats, and jets. Some of its globally sold cars include the Civic and Accord.

The company started selling motors for boats in 1964 and focuses on developing and selling four-stroke outboard motors. It entered into the aviation industry in 2003 when it flew its first jet, called HondaJet, and later established a separate company dedicated to aviation called Honda Aircraft. Honda also has a partnership with General Electric, with which the two companies develop engines for jets.

Honda began producing power products in 1953 with its farming engine. Customers can buy other power products from Honda, such as general-purpose engines, tillers, generators, snow throwers, lawnmowers, pumps, and outboard engines.

The company is also developing a fuel cell that is powered by hydrogen. According to Honda's website, the cell can be used in applications such as electric vehicles, commercial trucks, stationary power stations, and construction machinery.
