Moovit

Moovit is a company that develops a public transportation application. The company was founded in 2012 by Nir Erez, Roy Bick, and Yaron Evron. Moovit aims to provide its users with public transportation information based on real-time data. The company’s headquarters is located in Ness Ziona, Israel, although the service itself is available in more than 2,700 cities across 90 countries worldwide.

Moovit’s primary service is an application that helps users arrive in their destination using public transportation using the best route and public transportation choice available. The application is available in iOS, Android, and through its official website. In February 2019, Moovit added an additional service, which is targeted to city government offices and transit agencies, called Mobility as a Service. It aims to help these entities through the mobility data that they collected from users through their Moovit application.

Moovit has raised funding through five series, with its most recent being a Series D held in February 2018 that collected $50 million in funds. Since 2012, Moovit has amassed $131.5 million in total capital. Past investors that have financed Moovit are BRM Capital, Hanaco Venture Capital, Vaizra Investments, Sound Ventures, and Intel Capital.
